Starting This Website

It's been going on in my mind that I want a personal blog. I explored a few options and the most obvious one turned out to be Wordpress. But, I don't want to go through the hassle of setting up web servers, a database and cache. So, I thought, is there any way that I can just write in a Markdown file and it automatically turns into a blog.

Unexpected Encounter

Browsing the internet, I stumbled upon a post where the author had the same issue as me. And, the author shared their findings on tools and practices to achieve this. Yep, the answer is Zola that can solve this requirement. I gave it a short and immediately fell in love with it. And here's the result. I also learned that this concept has a professional term called Static Site Generators. Cool!
